The UVO has a digital portal, electronic Application Security Screening (e-AV) on which the employers can request security screenings. Employers can also add or delist employees as someone in a position involving confidentiality on e-AV.

  1. Not just anybody is able to log in. The employer has to apply to the UVO to become an applicant. Click on the form apply submitter for e-AV to apply as an applicant.
  2. The employer has to have access to eHerkenning. With eHerkenning an employer can authorise its employers for a government service. Employers can apply for eHerkenning with six acknowledged providers. Click on suppliers eHerkenning for an overview of these suppliers.
  3. The employers who submit the application have to be authorised in eHerkenning for e-AV of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations on level 3 or higher. If KPN is used as a supplier, employees have to be authorised for ‘all services’ of both options of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.

When the applicant has submitted the form it is directly sent to the account managers of the UVO. The applicant is informed via email as soon as the application has been processed.

It is possible to submit multiple applicants for one employer. For example if the employer has multiple locations and uses the same Chamber of Commerce number for the other locations. The VGB or clearance will state the name of the organisation of the applicant and not that of the employer.

By clicking on the e-AV, the authorised employee will be directed to the login page. You can log into this page via eHerkenning. When you log in for the first time, the page will request the profile information of the employee. The advice is to use a shared email address so that if the employee in question is absent, the UVO messages can also be read by other employees.

The profile can be edited later via the menu option Profile.
